Tyson G. Moss, Associate

Tyson’s practice focuses on retail and premises liability, medical malpractice defense, construction law, and automobile and trucking defense. He joined WKD after graduating from law school cum laude in 2023.

During law school, Tyson excelled academically and graduated in the top 10% of his Southern University Law Center class. He earned CALI Awards for Basic Civil Procedure, Family Law, Legal Writing II, and Legal Research, and was a merit-based scholarship recipient. He also was active in several student organizations, including the Black Law Students Association. Tyson gained experience as a law clerk for the Housing Unit of Southeast Louisiana Legal Services in New Orleans and at a private practice in Baton Rouge. He also served as an assistant student clerk for the Louisiana Supreme Court Clerk’s Office in New Orleans. As an undergraduate criminal justice major, he served on the Dillard University Mock Trial team.

Tyson has volunteered for the Orleans Parish Juvenile Court Teen Court Program since 2019. The program offers an alternative to the traditional juvenile justice system and school disciplinary proceedings. It focuses on repairing harm with fair and constructive sentences, which may include community service, counseling, and more.
