Bernice Nash v. DG Louisiana, LLC

Docket No. 2017-47, Trevor Davies secured summary judgment in favor of a retail client in a case pending in the 14th Judicial District Court for the Parish of Calcasieu. In that case, the plaintiff claimed that she was injured by a defective condition on the defendant merchant’s premises. The court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendant merchant, reasoning that the plaintiff could not meet her burden of proving that the defendant created the condition or had notice of its presence.
