Ella Jackson v. Wendy’s Restaurant

Docket No. 2018-0001839, WKD secured summary judgment in favor of a retail client in a case pending in the 21st Judicial District Court for the Parish of Tangipahoa. In that case, the plaintiff claimed that she was injured when she tripped and fell on an alleged defect in the parking lot. The Court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendant merchant, reasoning that the plaintiff failed to produce evidence that an unreasonably dangerous condition on the defendant’s premises caused her to fall.
