Keiva Wilson v. GPS Hospitality Partners IV, LLC

Peter Wanek and Lindsay Faulkner secured summary judgment in favor of a retail client in a case pending in the 40th Judicial District Court for the Parish of St. John the Baptist. In that case, the plaintiff claimed that she was injured at a restaurant when she slipped and fell on a substance on the ground. The Court granted summary judgment in favor of the defendant merchant, reasoning that the plaintiff failed to produce evidence that the defendant created the condition or had actual or constructive notice of the condition’s presence.
