Smith v. DG Louisiana, LLC
Docket No. 19-360, Trevor Davies and Michael Ballero obtained a defense verdict following a four-day jury trial in July 2022 in the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Louisiana. Plaintiffs sued DG Louisiana, LLC, as a result of an alleged incident back in 2018, allegedly resulting in a fractured L4 vertebra, post-concussive cognitive deficits, numerous injection therapies, an SI Joint Fusion, and recommended 2-level cervical fusion. Plaintiffs asked the jury to award more than $1.6 million in damages. After two hours of deliberations, the jury unanimously determined that DG Louisiana was not liable. (See link to Verdict)
