Trevor C. Davies, Partner
An experienced trial lawyer, Trevor handles a variety of complex commercial and personal injury litigation in both state and federal courts. Trevor’s commercial litigation experience includes representation of general contractors, subcontractors, and business owners in construction, warranty, contract, and payment disputes. He also represents retailers, restaurants, and other businesses in premises liability and automobile cases.
Trevor has taken more than twenty-five cases to trial. He has secured defense verdicts in both state and federal courts in Louisiana. In addition, he has won numerous cases through motion practice. His experience encompasses nearly all of the unique venues in Louisiana, including city courts, parish courts, district courts (state and federal), and appellate courts. He has obtained dismissals for his clients in Louisiana courts of appeals, the Louisiana Supreme Court, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, as well as presented oral arguments to several Louisiana courts of appeals.
Trevor regularly provides counsel regarding complex contractual issues, insurance coverage, indemnity, and claim strategy. He also works closely with clients in critical rapid response to provide immediate evaluations and solve problems. In litigation, he aggressively defends his clients’ interests at every stage. He uses motion practice effectively to whittle down claims resulting in favorable settlements and reduced potential exposure at trial.
Trevor serves on the Board of Directors for Magnolia Community Services, a non-profit providing support for adults with developmental disabilities since 1935. He is also an active member of the Fore!Kids Foundation, which raises money to fund children’s service organizations, primarily through the operation of the PGA’s Zurich Classic in New Orleans. Trevor is also serving a four-year term as a commissioner on the Lake Vista Crime Prevention District.
